THE FIRST ARABIC CORE CLASS in a public school in California

Introduction:

With a national initiative and federal support, LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) sought establishing this pioneering class in Los Angeles for some time. However, it did not do so until an expert teacher who can take the responsibility of coming up with the proper curriculum and lead the way for this important project was found. The teacher was recruited early 2008, and the class was established in summer of 2008 as THE FIRST ARABIC CORE CLASS in a public school in California.

The class exceeded all expectations as it was a HUGE success, attracting the attention of local media. Extended efforts are underway to establishing similar classes elsewhere in California.
